πŸš€ Getting Started

  • 🎯 Master Skills - Develop specific skills like "Guitarist" or "Public Speaker"
  • πŸ† Earn Badges - Unlock achievements for consistency and milestones
  • πŸ‘₯ Share Progress - Show off your journey to others (or keep it private)

Step 1: Create Your Account

  1. Click "Register" in the navigation bar
  2. Enter your username, email, and password
  3. Log in and you'll be taken to your Dashboard

Step 2: Set Up Your Profile

  1. Go to your Profile page
  2. Click the edit icon on your profile picture to upload a custom image
  3. Choose whether your profile should be Public or Private

⚑ Attributes System

What are Attributes?

Attributes represent different aspects of your life that you want to improve. Examples include:

πŸ’ͺ
Fitness
πŸ“š
Reading
πŸ’°
Finance
🧠
Learning
🎨
Creativity
🀝
Social

How Leveling Works

Each attribute levels up based on the number of activities you complete:

Level Activities Needed Total Activities
Level 0 β†’ 1 10 activities 10 total
Level 1 β†’ 2 20 more activities 30 total
Level 2 β†’ 3 30 more activities 60 total
Level 3 β†’ 4 40 more activities 100 total
Level N β†’ N+1 (N+1) Γ— 10 more Cumulative

Example: Fitness Attribute

Scenario: You want to track your fitness journey.

  1. Create Attribute: Name it "Fitness" and add an emoji πŸ’ͺ
  2. Set Reset Days: Choose how many days of inactivity before it resets (e.g., 7 days)
  3. Add Activities: Each time you work out, add an activity with a reflection:
    • "Ran 5km today, feeling great!"
    • "Gym session - chest and triceps"
    • "Morning yoga - 30 minutes"
  4. Level Up: After 10 activities, you reach Level 1! πŸŽ‰

Adding an Activity

  1. Go to your Dashboard
  2. Find the attribute you want to update
  3. Click "Add Activity"
  4. Write a brief reflection (1-2 sentences or even just two words)
  5. Submit! Your activity count and level will update automatically

πŸ’‘ Tip: Reflections help you remember what you did and why it mattered. Even simple ones like "Morning run" or "Felt energized" work great!

⚠️ Reset System

If you don't complete an activity for a certain number of days (set by you), the attribute will reset to the previous level, not Level 0.

Example: If your Fitness attribute is at Level 3 and you set reset days to 7, then if you don't work out for 7 days, it will drop to Level 2 (not Level 0). This encourages consistency while being forgiving.

Viewing & Managing Activities

  • View All Activities: Click "View All" on any attribute to see all your activities
  • Edit Activity: Click the edit icon to update a reflection
  • Delete Activity: Click the delete icon to remove an activity (this will recalculate your level)
  • Delete Attribute: Use the delete button to remove an entire attribute and all its activities

🎯 Skills System

What are Skills?

Skills are specific abilities or talents you want to develop. Unlike attributes, skills use custom levels that you define yourself. You create multiple levels for each skill, each with a description of what needs to be achieved. When you complete a level, you can optionally add a reflection about your experience!

Artist

Managing Skill Levels

After creating a skill, click "Manage Levels" to define your custom progression levels. Each level should have:

  • Level Name: A short name (e.g., "Beginner", "First Chord", "First Song")
  • Description: What needs to be achieved to complete this level

When you complete a level, you can optionally add a reflection about your experience, what you learned, or how you felt achieving that milestone.

Example: Guitarist Skill

Here's how you might set up levels for a "Guitarist" skill:

Level 1: First Chord

Description: Learn to play your first chord (G major)

Example Reflection: "Finally got my fingers in the right position! It was harder than I thought but so satisfying when I got it right."

Level 2: First Song

Description: Learn to play a complete song from start to finish

Example Reflection: "Played 'Wonderwall' all the way through! My transitions are still rough but I'm getting better."

Level 3: Barre Chords

Description: Master barre chords (F major, B minor, etc.)

Example Reflection: "Barre chords were a real challenge! My hand was sore but I can finally play an F chord cleanly."

Example: Public Speaker Skill

Level 1: First Presentation

Description: Give your first public presentation (any size audience)

Level 2: 10+ People

Description: Present to an audience of 10 or more people

Level 3: Without Notes

Description: Deliver a presentation without reading from notes

Linking Skills to Attributes

When you create a skill, you can optionally link it to an attribute. Each time you complete a skill level, it adds points to the linked attribute!

Example: You create a skill "Guitarist" and link it to your "Creativity" attribute.

  1. You complete "Level 1: First Chord" in your Guitarist skill
  2. Your "Creativity" attribute gets +1 point (or more, depending on points_per_level)
  3. This helps you level up attributes faster through skill practice

πŸ“Š Overall Level

What is Overall Level?

Your Overall Level is the average level of all your attributes. It's displayed prominently on your Dashboard and Profile with a beautiful animated circular progress bar!

How It's Calculated

Formula: Overall Level = Average of all attribute levels (rounded down)

Example:

  • Fitness: Level 5
  • Reading: Level 3
  • Finance: Level 7
  • Learning: Level 4
  • Average: (5 + 3 + 7 + 4) Γ· 4 = 4.75
  • Overall Level: 4 (rounded down)
  • Progress to Next: 75% (0.75 Γ— 100)

The Circular Progress Bar

The circular progress bar shows how close you are to the next overall level. Every time you load the page, it animates smoothly from empty to your current progress!

πŸ’‘ Tip: The animation makes it satisfying to see your progress fill up. Keep leveling up your attributes to see that circle fill completely!

πŸ—ΊοΈ Attribute Map & Balance

Visualizing Your Progress

The Attribute Map shows all your attributes as points on a circular map. The size of each point represents the level of that attribute, helping you see how balanced your development is.

Balance Radar Chart

The radar chart shows a spider-web visualization of your attribute levels. This helps you identify which areas need more attention to maintain balance.

πŸ’‘ Tip: A well-balanced radar chart (close to a circle) means you're developing all aspects of your life evenly. If one area is much larger, consider focusing on the smaller ones!

πŸ‘€ Profile & Privacy

Your Profile Page

Your profile page displays:

  • πŸ“Έ Your profile picture (click the edit icon to change it)
  • πŸ“Š Your overall level with animated progress bar
  • πŸ“ˆ Stats: Number of attributes, skills, badges, and total levels
  • ⚑ All your attributes with their levels and progress
  • 🎯 All your skills with their levels
  • πŸ† All your earned badges
  • πŸ—ΊοΈ Attribute map and balance visualization

Profile Privacy

You can control who can see your profile:

πŸ”“ Public Profile

Anyone can search for and view your profile. Your progress is visible to everyone.

πŸ”’ Private Profile

Only you can view your profile. It won't appear in search results.

Toggle your profile privacy from your Profile page using the "Public Profile" or "Private Profile" button.

Searching for Users

You can search for other users and view their public profiles:

  1. Click "Search" in the navigation bar
  2. Enter a username to search
  3. View their public profile to see their attributes, skills, badges, and progress
  4. Get inspired by their journey!

πŸ’‘ Pro Tips

🎯 Start Small

Don't create too many attributes at once. Start with 2-3 that matter most to you, then add more as you build the habit of tracking.

πŸ“ Write Meaningful Reflections

Even short reflections help you remember what you did. "Morning run" is fine, but "Morning run - felt energized and clear-headed" is even better for motivation!

πŸ”— Link Skills Strategically

Link skills to attributes that make sense. For example, link "Guitarist" to "Creativity" or "Public Speaker" to "Social" to boost those attributes while practicing skills.

βš–οΈ Maintain Balance

Use the Attribute Map and Balance Radar to see which areas need attention. A balanced life is a happy life!

⏰ Set Realistic Reset Days

Don't set reset days too short (like 1-2 days) or you'll constantly reset. 7-14 days is usually a good balance between accountability and flexibility.

πŸ† Check Your Badges

Regularly check the "View All Badges" page to see what you're close to earning. It's great motivation to keep going!

πŸ‘₯ Share Your Journey

Keep your profile public and share your progress with friends. Accountability and community support can be powerful motivators!

πŸ“Š Review Regularly

Use the "View All Activities" feature to review your past reflections. It's inspiring to see how far you've come!
